Here’s what some of our guests had to say:
‘‘Wow we have just had the best day ever at Shepton Mallet Prison. 7 amazing staff / historical people connected to this prison. Stories that made our jaw drop and others that moved us to shed a tear. All historically accurate and really brought to life. Front of house really friendly and helpful. What an asset to have such a historic resource to remind us of our history. A big thank you to all the amazing staff at Shepton Mallet Prison.’’
‘‘We went on the experience event today. I have to say it was first class, such a great welcome and the characters were amazing and full of knowledge that made the experience more life like. Once you have had this experience you would definitely not want to become an inmate. We’re now looking forward to the Ghost Tours and the sleep in experience.’’
‘‘We went to their first Living History Day. This was fantastic doing the Self-Guided Tour, with 7 areas where members of the team enacted different characters through the ages, bringing the experience to life, and saved a lot of reading. The staff performed their roles with professionalism and knowledge, but also giving us the chance for Q&As. Well done to all involved.’’
