How long is the Guided Tour?

The Guided Tour lasts for approx. 1.5 hours. During this time, you are welcome to spend time before, after or both exploring the site.

How long should I allow for a Self-Guided Tour?

For our Self Guided Tours, we recommend you allow between 1.5 and 2 hours but you are welcome to spend as long as you like exploring the prison!

Can I buy refreshments on site?

Yes, we serve a range of hot drinks and snacks. For more information on what’s available, please speak to the team during your visit.

Can I buy a souvenir?

Yes, we have a gift shop on site, located in our visitor centre, selling a wide range of merchandise.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, we love well behaved dogs visiting us at the prison!

Can I take photos within the attraction?

Yes, there are plenty of great CELLfie points throughout the prison. Snap away!

Do I need to book in advance?

We advise that you book in advance online to guarantee entrance as the demand for tours is very high.

Can I just turn up and pay on the door as a Self-Guider?

Yes, you can but we recommend booking online to avoid dissapointment.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes, there is a small prison car park (charge £3.50) and Great Ospry pay and display car park is nearby.
