A school trip your pupils will remember.
We make learning fun, highly engaging and memorable. From the moment your students step through the imposing prison gates, they’ll know that they are in for a truly immersive experience. Very few people get the opportunity to experience such a historic and real prison. Running school trips like these shines a light on the history of prison life and offers an insight into an otherwise unknown world.
Crime and punishment will be naturally covered in the tour, our tour guides inspire pupil’s curiosity to know more about the history and to recognise what it was like to be incarcerated from the Victorian era to the modern-day.
Guided tours are included in all school trips; additional activities can be added to suit pupils learning requirements.
The day trip involves a tour of the 400-year-old prison, the aim of which is to show pupils first-hand what life inside a prison is like and to showcase the prison’s history. The experience is an hour and a half and starts in Visits and takes in the wings, the cells, exercise yard, treadwheel building and the execution room.Enquire Now
