Prison Residencies inspired by the aspects of the prison’s history is the very first event to take place and will run from 18th September to 3rd October.
This is no normal art exhibition – it is a living and breathing event and one visitors can totally immerse themselves in
Prison Residencies is maximising the benefits of showcasing the art in a real prison by allocating a cell to each artist creating, in effect, a series of studios
Ten of the thirteen artists will be on site in the prison’s historic C Wing. Rather than a regular static exhibition this one is progressive and ever changing; what you will see on day one will be different from what you will see on day 16!
You will be able to see the exhibition in C Wing and interact with the artists – come and chat to them about their work. The art in progress will include a wide range of disciplines from textiles, film, writing, sculpture to paper art.
This exciting exhibition is suitable for all ages with something to enjoy and be inspired by for both adults and children.Book Now
