Very few people get the opportunity to experience prison - unless they are sent there for committing an offence! We offer coach companies the opportunity to visit a real prison shining a light on history from 1625 to the present day. From the moment you arrive on site, you'll experience a coach trip like no other, set within our immersive and historical setting.
Your two-hour, no holds barred tour showcases life inside. Tour guides with an encyclopedic knowledge of the jail will take your group through the traditional prison wings, furnished cells, exercise yard, treadwheel building, segregation, old gate lodge, and finish in the execution room.
Who were the infamous inmates? How many escaped? When was the last hanging? How do drugs get into prisons? These are all are just a handful of questions your group may want to ask.
All our coach companies get a discounted rate when they bring a group of 15 people or more. You have the freedom of booking your own slot and having an ex-prison officer exclusive to your group, for a completely unique experience.
Catering Behind Bars
Our on-site cafe is open all day, with a variety sweet and savoury snacks, and hot and cold drinks to re-fuel your group. You can book in advance or on the day. Buffet options are also available on request and we can cater for all dietary requirements.
