Children’s Author to Visit Shepton Mallet Prison this Summer

We have some exciting news for families this summer! Children’s author, Simon Hall, will return to Shepton Mallet Prison this summer holidays.
From 9th to 11th August, between 11am and 5pm, Simon will showcase his much-loved series of children’s books, inspired by fascinating stories from trainlines across the country.
Meet an Author Behind Bars 📚
You may already know his popular title Trouble on the Watermeadow Line and now his latest release The portal of time and Strawberry Line. His latest book, which will be available to purchase onsite, features a mischievous character who ends up behind bars at Shepton Mallet Prison, adding a fun and local twist to the tale!

Whether you’re visiting the 400-year-old prison for a Self-Guided Tour or one of our puzzle-filled escape rooms, it’s the perfect chance to meet Simon, enjoy live readings and get your book signed.
