Educational Groups

Give your educational group the fun and exciting experience of visiting a 17th century prison.

From the moment your group step through the giant prison gates, they’ll know that they are in for a truly immersive experience.

Very few people get the opportunity to experience a real 17th-century prison. Running day trips like these shines a light on the history of prison life and offer an insight into an otherwise unknown world. Whether you are a Beaver, Rainbow, Cub, Brownie, Scout, Guide, Explorer or Ranger our day trips can be perfect for growing, learning and having fun. We welcome home educators, with groups of 8 or more children we can offer an exciting day out from home.

Cell Escape

Your group will be split into small groups, allocated a cell and given an allotted time to escape solving puzzles and clues. This encourages collaborative working and is mentally challenging.

Choosing from a range of topics your group will get the opportunity to ask as many questions as they like and have topical discussions with very experienced tour guides. The tour guide’s experience is invaluable and offers a true insight into life behind bars.
